Change is a Blessing

Even in the Chaos

I last left you with Decluttering, It's About Time - since then I have not only been trying to declutter but have been working hard to rearrange my whole house. The magnitude is similar to an entire move (which you may know, is exhausting), but the results as each room is finished is very gratifying. I haven't been able to write because I am also under a tight timeline. You see much has happened in the past few weeks; baby coming, job changes, relocation, new clients and the decluttering project have kept me quite busy. As a result of all the changes, we've decided that my daughter and son-in-law should move in here after the baby arrives. I couldn't be more thrilled, but in order to make this a wonderful experience for everyone, we needed to shift things around and make the proper space for a whole new family to come and not feel like guests. That meant I had to dismantle my office and that furniture had to be absorbed elsewhere. My husband and I also discussed the needs of a new family of three, and felt it best for us to move to the room that had been my office.

Anyway all of the change and reorganization needed to make it all happen meant, I didn't have an office at all for a while and no time to write. I am happy to say we are nearing the end, my new office space in the den was finished last night. I still have the upstairs to finish off and today we learned the baby will be arriving on Thursday! So we will finish in the neck of time for us to travel to San Diego and await the arrival of my 1st grandchild!

I will write more about the experience but here are a few of the soups I have made. I was unable to capture them all because there were points that there was not even one tiny little space available for taking a picture but it has been a fun process all the same.
